Ryan Tseng (President)
Picture
Ryan is currently a senior in the BA/BS-MD program majoring in Biology. His first encounter with Ecosystem Arts was an initial pilot event at Children’s Hospital where he was in charge of setting up Rumble Bots. The aim was to engage a broad range of children from kindergarteners to high schoolers who would otherwise have a limited exposure to STEM programs. By bringing in diverse activities directly to Children’s Hospital and to patients who were confined to their rooms, he discovered his passion for education. In his free time he enjoys motorcycling, biking, and cave diving.

Shamik Bhat (Vice President)
Picture
Shamik is currently entering his senior year at CU Denver, and is engaging in healthcare through pursuits in the biological sciences and political science. Exposure to the healthcare field throughout his life has inspired him to give back to the community in the same way he was once treated - with compassion and education. Educational gaps can take years to  bridge,  and he is determined to preventing these from forming in pediatric healthcare.

Srinjita is a PhD student in Computer Science and Cognitive Science at CU Boulder. Through her research, she is interested in developing effective strategies to teach 3D printing to youth and provide them more opportunities to explore maker technologies. Being a part of Ecosystem Arts allows her to think of productive ways to apply her background in engineering and education to support children with limited opportunities to experience STEM curricula.

Volunteers

Evan Tseng
Picture
Evan is a senior at Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado. Evan has found the joy of volunteering at the North and Main campus of CHCO and is starting the first Ecosystem Arts high school chapter. He will be entering the engineering field and is applying to CU Boulder's Engineering Program.
Shlok Rathi
Picture
Shlok is a junior at CU Denver majoring in biology on a pre-medical track. Growing up in both rural and suburban areas, he witnessed discrepancies in quality of teaching and learning between rural schools and urban/suburban schools, as well as the limited resources available to rural communities. These discrepancies can lead to inadequate preparation for higher education, and his goal is to eliminate them.
Haydee Ramirez
Picture
Haydee is currently a sophomore at CU Denver majoring in Biochemistry on a pre-med track. Her passion for the physical sciences and learning fuels her motivation for educating children in hopes that they too will find joy in STEM. She recognizes that developing STEM curriculum can be difficult and strives to provide patients with interactive and fun methods that will bridge the educational gap they face with long-term care. Overall health, fitness, and sports are things that Haydee enjoys doing in her spare time.
